It just doesnt work: Import fails, window is too big for MBA screen, no way to resize, developer assertions poping up in many occasions => I didnt care to investigate further, it cannot be used

Now I can take control of my budget. The program is not quite intuitive but all the options are there. If you need something, it will work well enough. But I am really considering purchasing their 4D Budget, that seems much better.
This app does not work. Keeps shuting down unexpectedly.
This is a great familly application. Eseay to understand and most of all customizable with categories and subcategory. Just what I wanted….
Just downloaded the app. Have a few suggestions..would love an option to input my income and have it automatically tell me how much i have left and there should be more colours in the pie graph. Half of my transactions are in various shades of orange. But for the price its very very good!
You cant enter income, only expenses, it does not calculate anything.. makes a fancy graph and that is all.
Just bought this app and crashed three times on me! shocking!
The application looks good. But there are some bugs. When you change something (like categories, or when you delete something) you need to restart application to see the changes. And it’s not user friendly. But it’s cheap and developers are concerned. So i think they deserve a shot.
I wanted a simple app to organize my expenses and view them graphically. This application offers detailed customization as far as categorizing expenses, but thats pretty much the only positive point. Users are unable to minimize or adjust the app window size, so part of the app is cut off on screen. When users enter expenses, the app doesnt organize them by date or category automatically--only by in-put order. I would take the time to figure out the apps extremely complex category organizing, but its neither simple nor straightforward. For an app with the purpose of simplifying and organizing, spending time attempting to comprehend how to organize expense categories is ironic (not to mention frustrating). In addition, although most of the app is in English, some alerts and propmpts are in other languages.
This is not at all what you think its going to be. Its not that great of an app….sorry I wasted my money!
sorry, but if its not freezing its still not terribly useful. waste of time and money.
It does make a pie chart. The benefit of a chart is quick visualization of numbers through colors and dimensions. They remembered the dimensions and forgot the colors. 5 colors are assigned automatically. Once those categories are created, the remaining categories become variations of red. Im glad it was only two bucks. I have a finance chart in all salmon. They didnt put much thought in that.
Im surprised with those bad comments - works well on my side. Does the job for my home expenses + nice graphs give a good overview. Worth every penny.
App does not open. I just get a stopwatch mouse icon and bouncing dock icon for a second, then nothing MacBook Pro 10.7.3
4D Expenses shows in the taskbar...you can click on preferences in the drop down. But the app itself does not open.
works well for me in the practical sense. need more colors, is not useful a graph with only half of the same color gradient. need an option for fixed costs and not have to write them. fix print reports
Also having the problem where the app starts, but no window is visible. It worked for awhile but now its useless and I cant recommend buying an app that doesnt work and the developers dont seem interested in fixing.
So basic and takes wayyy too much time to fill out.
This is a great App. It is simple, customizable, and affordable. It doesnt have a full screen mode or generate reports… But it does put ones budget front and center. Great for tracking, not so great for creating a budget.
I quess you could use this for an expense report. There is no automatic import from outside institutions like Mint and Personal Capital which divide expenses up a bit differently but I look at them a couple times a week. If you dont mind entering every expenditure by had so you can see pie charts you will love this program
